Bad news for the weekend. The team wasn't able to finish the new cars. Unfortunately only Timo will run with the updated(new) version of Virgin. So this gonna be a tough race for Lucas.
Lucas: “Race day was tough for us in China, but we have to stay focused on what we achieved prior to that and the way we have been improving through the race weekends. We had been getting on top of our reliability problems, so we expect Spain to be a new chapter for us. I was one of the lucky ones after Shanghai - I got out on the Monday after the race and headed to Brazil. I spent some good time with family and friends and worked on my fitness. I will do some work on the simulator this week before heading out to Barcelona. This is a track I know from racing in other formulae - in particular GP2. It’s a nice challenge for a driver and though I’m disappointed that I will be driving the previous specification chassis, as we didn’t have enough time to modify two cars, I hope with all the work we’ve been doing to make our race weekends go more smoothly we can have a positive European debut.”
Lucas announced this week that he has a new sponsor(Sorocred). There was an event where he was posing with a Ferrari, playing golf. He is becoming more & more famous and not just in Brazil...but I really hope he won't change too much, everyone loved the "old" Lucas. I uploaded photos of the event New sponsor - Sorocred
Sorry guys for not being online recently... I'm really busy, and this will continue until the Spanish GP, but if something important happens I'll come for sure. Lucas is still in Brazil, enjoying his time with his family and friends...training, visiting football matches etc.
I uploaded those pics what I promised, these are only Hungarian magazines, because just these are available here. Pics
After a 3 day-long travelling Lucas finally arrived to Brazil, SP. He wrote to his Twitter how he got home: Shanghai - Hong Kong - Easter Island - Sailing to Lima - Riding a Llama to Rio Branco - Motorcycle to Brasilia - Go-karting to Sao Paulo... He is funny... :D
I added a photo of Luc from a Hungarian magazine, tomorrow I'll add some more.
Lucas is still trying to get back home. He wrote 3 version to solve the transport problem caused by the vulcano. Here are them from his Twitter; Option 1: Shanghai - Hong Kong - NY - Sao Paulo Option 2: Shanghai - Dubai - Casablanca - Sevilla + 10 hours driving to his house. Option 3: Shanghai - Beijing - Transiberian Train to Moscow - Helsinki - boat to UK
And one more thing for today... Mialo - who supports Lucas since the beginning, lives in China - decided to share with us some of her photos, so I would like to say her a big THANK YOU! Amazing pics! It's worth to watch them :) Final version of Chinese GP pics Check them out here!
