Lucas said: “This has been a very productive Friday and we are looking very strong for this weekend thanks to the new updates we have here this weekend. I hope that the weather stays stable so we can continue to keep improving the car and bring home the best result possible on Sunday.”
Lucas arrived to Hockenheim today. Hopefully he will do well here. In 2005 he had a big accident, luckily he didn't hurt, and he also raced in Hockenheim in 2008(GP2) where Maldonado destroyed his weekend, so better luck this time.
Lucas said: “Our team’s home Grand Prix two weeks ago was shaping up to be a very positive weekend for us, so it’s disappointing that we encountered the hydraulic problem which ended my race early on. As always though you have to look at the positive and up until that point we had every reason to feel optimistic about the step forward we have made with the car, which is significant. Obviously there is a lot more to come and we have to keep pushing, but to know we are heading in the right direction has given us all a lift for the second half of the season. I really like the Hockenheimring and have raced here many times before in other categories. It’s a circuit that requires good braking stability and traction and is quite challenging. I am pretty confident in our car and expect us to be able to prove ourselves as the best of the new teams here again like I did in Valencia.”

As Renault F1's list of potential candidates for a 2011 race seat includes current Virgin Racing driver Timo Glock, it's needless to say that Sir Richard Branson's supported organization will do anything in its power to retain the German driver for an additional year.
Talking about the prospect of keeping Glock for the upcoming campaign, technical director Nick Wirth expressed his hopes that the German will want to continue the project started one year ago.
“We've got another year on the contract with Timo, but like anything in life everyone has got to want to carry on. Timo understood that we were a new team and he wanted to be part of something that was growing going forward,” said Wirth, according to Autosport.
“We were so lucky to have a driver with his talent, ability and experience join us at his age. It's up to us to try and deliver on that,” added the Virgin official.
Additionally, Wirth insisted that his team is quite happy with the achievements of rookie driver Lucas di Grassi, despite the fact that he failed to make such a good impression in the 10 rounds so far.
“The disadvantage is that Lucas is naturally a bit heavier than Timo. For all of the new teams, weight is an issue so he's still got a disadvantage. It's to do with us and we're working very hard on it,” added Wirth.
Lucas also said some words: "I would love to stay, I have had a very good time at Virgin. I know results have not gone as expected but I'm having a good time and I'm learning a lot here. I see the team fighting with the top guys in two or three years. It was slow going for Force India and Red Bull when they came in but look at where they are now."
